Mygate Smart Locks Exchange & Return Policy

Please read the following exchange and return Policy to ascertain whether your purchase of mygate smart locks qualifies for a return or an exchange:

1. Exchange

Exchange can be made if the Customer establishes that the product delivered by Mygate is defective or has physical damage within 10 days from the receipt of the said product. Exchange will be allowed only if:

  1. Exchange request is made within 10 days of receipt of the order, and
  2. Product is not yet installed on the door, and
  3. Customer has received a defective or different product than what was ordered

2. Return

Where the customer has received the desired product, but the product cannot be installed due to door design/ door thickness or the door material. In this case,

  1. Customer should bring this to the notice of customer care within 10 days of the receipt of the material
  2. The product must be unused & the packaging should not be damage
  3. The product should be free from physical marks and in its original product packaging along with all accessories intact
  4. All supporting documentation such as receipt of purchase, price tags, labels & warranty card as well as accessories should be dispatched with the product.

3. Cancellation

Cancellation of Orders is possible only before the shipping. In case of prepaid orders, refunds will get processed within 5-7 working days to the original source.

Mygate Customer Support Team’s hours are between 10:00 AM and 07:00 PM IST, Monday through Sunday, except national holidays.

It’s important to note that the policy emphasizes prompt communication with Mygate’s customer support team for any issues, ensuring a smooth and satisfactory resolution process for all parties involved.

Mygate Smart Locks Limited Warranty Terms & Conditions

The Limited Warranty statement provides a commitment from Mygate to ensure the reliability and quality of their product. This warranty serves as a promise that the product will maintain its integrity and functionality, free from any material or workmanship defects.

The Smart Locks offered by Mygate carries a limited warranty of 3 (three) years from proven date of purchase. It is warranted to be free from defects in material for a period of 3 (three) years from the proven date of purchase. During this period of warranty, if the product is proved to be defective in material, the product will be repaired or replaced by refurbished product or substituted by a similar product at the discretion of the Mygate.

Terms & Conditions of Warranty:

  1. This warranty is applicable for a period of 3 (three) to the original purchaser from the proven date of purchase. The customer should retain the Order Summary or Tax Invoice.
  2. There should be no amendments/corrections on the Order Summary or Tax Invoice.
  3. In case repair or replacement of the product is carried out, the period of warranty would continue from the original date of purchase.
  4. Replaced parts/products would be the property of the Mygate.

  6. Visit charges as per the prevailing prices list, would be applicable. Travelling and other incidental expenses are payable by the customer wherever applicable.
  7. Surface finish and/or shade of the product is not covered under this warranty.
  8. This warranty is restricted to only the product and not the installation service. In case of any damage or non-operation of product due to effects of weather on door and frame or sag on account of loosened or tightened hinges / latches are not covered under this warranty.
  9. Warranty on the product would not be applicable under the conditions including but not limited to:
    • Misuse/mishandling/negligence/improper application/improper repair/tampering
    • Installation by other than Mygate Certified Technicians.
    • Installation with unapproved accessories.
    • Failure to follow instructions of use.
    • Modification to the product or removal/alteration of parts and components.
    • Entry or seepage of water/liquids/oils/chemicals.
    • Non-functioning of lock due to use of key other than Mygate’s make or entry of foreign material in the keyhole.
    • Physical or cosmetic damages, scratches or breakage of plastic parts.
    • Damage due to acts of God/accidents/fire/robbery/natural calamities.
    • Damage due to harsh environmental conditions.
    • Damage due to battery leakage (in case of electro-mechanical and electronic locks
    • Damage due to use of poor quality batteries or other brands batteries which are not recommended by the manufacturer
    • Failures or defects in consumables such as LEDs/batteries (in case of electro-mechanical and electronic locks).
  1. Batteries provided by Mygate are not covered by the warranty.
  2. Mygate reserves the right to modify the design of the products without prior notice in pursuance of its policy of continuous technical improvement.
  3. Decision of Mygate on the admissibility of the claim under warranty would be final and binding.
  4. Maximum liability under the warranty would be limited to the cost of the product. This warranty expressly excludes any claim for incidental or consequential loss or damage.
  5. Any representation, warranties or promises inconsistent with or in addition to the warranties contained herewith are unauthorized and shall not be binding on Mygate.
  6. This warranty is valid in India only.
  7. This warranty is issued at Bengaluru and Courts at Bengaluru shall have exclusive jurisdiction over matters covered or flowing from this warranty.
  8. Mygate reserves its rights to amend the above terms and conditions without notice.

With Mygate, you’ll never be stuck with a smart lock you don’t love. Our 60-day free return policy gives you the power to buy a Mygate Smart Lock, try it for 60 days, and if you’re not satisfied, return it for a full refund. No questions asked.

1. Duration

The Mygate Buy and Try Policy covers your purchase of Mygate Smart Locks for a period of 60 days (2 months) from the date of installation.

2. Eligibility

To be eligible for the Free Return Policy, you must meet the following conditions:

  • This policy is applicable only for Mygate Smart Locks purchased directly from our official website (shop.mygate.com) or Mygate App on or after March 11, 2025.
  • The product must be free from any signs of misuse, damage, or excessive wear and tear.
  • The Smart Lock must be installed by Mygate authorized partner and the uninstallation must also be performed by Mygate’s authorized partner.
  • The return request must be raised after 30 days of usage and within 60 days of the product’s installation.
  • The product must be returned in its original packaging, including all accessories, manuals, and warranty cards.
  • This policy applies to prepaid orders only and does not cover Cash on Delivery (COD) orders.

3. Initiating a Return

If you are not satisfied with your Mygate Smart Lock within the 60-day period, please follow these steps to initiate a return:

  • Contact Mygate Customer Support via email at [email protected].
  • Provide your order details, including your name, order number, and reason for return
  • Our customer support team will guide you through the return process and provide you with a Return Authorization.

4. Return Inspection and Refund

  • Once we receive the returned product, our team will inspect it to ensure it meets the eligibility criteria.
  • If the product is in acceptable condition, we will process your refund within 10 business days.
  • The refund will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.

5. Free Pickup and Uninstallation

  • Once a return request is approved, we will arrange free pickup of the Mygate Smart Lock within 72 hours.
  • Our authorized partner will uninstall the lock. Please note that they will not be responsible for reinstalling the old lock or any other new lock.

6. Liability

By using this Free Return Policy, you acknowledge that Mygate’s liability is limited to the actual amount paid for the Mygate Smart Lock. In no circumstances will Mygate be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or misuse of the product.

7. Exclusions

This policy does not apply in the following cases:

  • Products purchased from any third-party sellers or sources outside of the official Mygate website.
  • Damage caused by improper installation, neglect, abuse, misuse, or unauthorized modifications.
  • Products that show signs of excessive wear and tear, misuse, or tampering.
  • Returns requested before 30-days of usage and after the 60-day return window has expired.
