Feature in Focus: Kid Checkout Permission

Kid Checkout Permission

The large kids’ play area is one of the most important draws to a gated community. But are you ever nervous that your kids will choose to leave the community without your knowledge? MyGate has a solution that will bring you peace of mind.

What is Kid Checkout Permission?

A simple feature that ensures your kids always require your permission to leave the community (with or without an escort). It addresses both planned and unplanned exit from the community.

Why We Built This Feature

Many of our users are parents with young children. Some of the parents we spoke to informed us that while they encourage their children to roam freely in the community, they are extremely nervous that they may leave without permission. To rid parents of this feeling, we built Kid Checkout Permission.

How it Works

Your kid’s departure from the community could be planned or unplanned. Let’s begin with how this feature works in case of a planned exit:

Scenario #1: Planned Exit

1. Go to Quick Links, select Kids
2. Pick the ‘Allow Exit’ option
3. Select the time range and confirm

Once you perform the above three steps, you will instantly see a new card in your Activity Feed confirming you have allowed your kid to exit the society. Now, when your kid is exiting your society, it will be visible to the guard that the kid has permission to leave the society.

Scenario #2: Unplanned exit

1. Guard enters child’s flat number
2. Guard seeks your approval
3. You allow or deny exit

Based on your response, the guard will permit or deny exit. Do note that in case you do not respond to the in-app notification, an IVR call will be placed immediately.

The Kid Checkout Permission feature, therefore, is an additional layer of security at your community. Read more about our other security features, Overstay Alert and Validated Partner Entry.
